People say the most productive day in the year is the one just before you go on vacation. You fly around checking off tasks that MUST be completed.

When my daughter told me she was going to moonlight as a driver for Lyft, I was horrified. “How could you know you are safe picking up STRANGERS?” We had this same conversation at least 3 times as she went through the process to get approved as a driver.
Is the world getting too big or too small?
This week like other weeks, I have been confounded by the messages pouring down on my head from the media. I don’t know what to focus on. I feel like a telescoping camera lens that can’t stop adjusting in and out bouncing from situations that happen a world away to minute trivia from personal life situations.
It is not if….but when
It hit me pretty hard the other day when I heard that a friend from high school had died. Like most of my middle-aged compatriots, I have lost friends and family members along the way.
