In honor of Mother’s Day, I would like to turn the tables and talk about a few things I learned from my kids. I think other Type “A” personalities will resonate with the lessons.

Is the world getting too big or too small?

This week like other weeks, I have been confounded by the messages pouring down on my head from the media. I don’t know what to focus on. I feel like a telescoping camera lens that can’t stop adjusting in and out bouncing from situations that happen a world away to minute trivia from personal life situations.

It is not if….but when

It hit me pretty hard the other day when I heard that a friend from high school had died. Like most of my middle-aged compatriots, I have lost friends and family members along the way.
