Exciting as it is to be in a Tropical Storm Watch on Maui, getting prepared for flooding, no electricity and hunkering in place was not what I dreamed about when planning a vacation in Hawaii.
The driving rains made for wonderful waterfalls as we raced out of Hana to beat the slow moving Tropical Storm Darby.
Goal= get to the other side of the island before the storm.
Achieved. We even got to Star Noodle for lunch and Tamara’s for the requisite bottle of tequila.
So now for some deep breaths and good books as the rain begins pounding on the windows.
I suggest some deep breaths and quiet time for everyone this week.
